It’s quite rare for music to pull off a convincingly unique sound these days, but the pulsating BeepBox-heavy ‘Feels Hz’ combines avant-garde textural sound and heavily-treated vocals, delicate acoustic guitar and shockingly serene melodies to pull it off. Pet Shimmers is a large collection of musicians, who cite a diverse variety of bizarre influences and this track is the result of a huge range of contributors (wonderfully including TMR favs Goat Girl) and influences. The band describe themselves as being "for fans of Gender Neutral Milk Hotel, sitting down, liking stuff, folding arms, 8-bit, this band written backwards tnemevaP, Harmony Korine, Memoryhole and a bunch of other stuff, no worries if not, it’s cool we can just be friends".
